One of my favorite things to do during the evening over the Holiday Season is curl up with Captain America (the hubby), a fire crackling away in the fireplace and a cozy holiday movie on the TV.

However, as much as I love Christmas, I’m still not ready to begin the celebrations until December – which can make watching holiday movies in November a little difficult…especially when television stations like The Hallmark Channel start airing Christmas movies at midnight on HALLOWEEN. (C’mon Hallmark!  I’m a sucker for your cheesy movies, but please, give me Thanksgiving!)

So this year I have searched high and low for 18 of the best Thanksgiving Movies to share with you this November.  And, because I love you, I threw in a bonus television show for your enjoyment!

Unfortunately, I discovered that there aren’t that many movies that are specifically about Thanksgiving, so although the films on the following list may not all be officially centered around the Thanksgiving Holiday, they do all carry with them a family-oriented, inspirational feeling that is guaranteed to capture the hearts and minds of everyone you know during this season of giving thanks!

So, without further ado…

Check out these 18 Great Thanksgiving Movies for the Month of November!!

A side note for your convenience: Below you’ll find a list of 18 movies and a television show – some are appropriate for children, and some are definitely not! For your convenience – films with asterisks by their titles can be found on family-friendly channels such as The Disney Channel, ABC Family, The Hallmark Channel etc. Parental discretion is advised, as they say!
The ones in italics are the ones I’ve been particularly looking forward to this year!

It is sad that there is not that many Thanksgiving movies to watch. I too love watching movies on special holidays. Thanks for sharing this great list at The Southern Special.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for stopping by and commenting 🙂
I am hoping that since the few Thanksgiving movies that are out there have done so well – especially the recent made-for-tv ones – they will give us a few more in the years to come!

Your top two are my top two, as well! I’ve not seen too many of the rest of them, so I’ll have to add them to my watchlist. We’re having a very low-key T-giving this year (no extended family AT ALL), so I imagine the hubby and I will be sitting down for a good movie or two.

Thanks for linking up at the Thank Goodness It’s Thursday party. Pinned and I’m glad we’re now connected.
