I can’t even TELL you how obsessed I am with Vance Joy and Sam Smith right now.
Either one of these boys could sing me the phone book and I would think it was the best song on the radio today. Okay, so maybe that’s exaggerating a little…But the point is, both Vance Joy and Sam Smith are artists with amazing talent, and I cannot get enough of their music at the moment.
In all seriousness, I am absolutely loving how many new voices are popping up on the music scene – for a while there I was sick of everything that was being played. But today it feels like we’re really on a roll with some great new sounds, and Vance Joy and Sam Smith are definitely part of that movement, in my opinion.
Take a listen and let me know what you think in the comments!
(Warning: Maybe not the most appropriate music video ever made, so, you know, if you get easily offended by things, maybe just listen instead…)
“Do you like walking in the rain?
When you think of love, do you think of pain?
You can tell me what you see,
I will choose what I believe,
Hold on, darling,
This body is yours,
This body is yours and mine,
Well hold on, my darling,
This mess was yours,
Now your mess is mine…”

“For months on end I’ve had my doubts,
Denying every tear,
I wish this would be over now,
But I know that I still need you here,
You say I’m crazy,
‘Cause you don’t think I know what you’ve done,
But when you call me baby,
I know I’m not the only one…”
