About The HWL

The HWL stands for The Hand-Written Life, and was founded by Andrea Smyth as a WordPress Hosted site in 2012. Since then, it has become a place where thousands of people from all over the world have stopped and sat a while – uniting in their love of reading, inspiration, life, people, happiness – and love!

Today, The HWL has undergone a rebranding of sorts, with a new look and a new Self-Hosted location – but my promise to you is that you will always find the same great content you have come to expect from, and associate with,The HWL name.

I am delighted to continue to provide you with articles on literature, film, music, television.  Articles that will Inspire Your Day, help you plan your Big Day, or just make you smile.  You’ll also find updates on the latest books I am writing, things I am absolutely loving at the moment…and a few of the things I’m not.

But most importantly, I hope you find that my true passion lies in writing about people, and the many ways that life and its experiences connects us all.  My goal here at The HWL is to explore those things that are constantly leading me to discover and embrace the best parts of myself, and my hope is that I can inspire a few others to do the same along the way!

I hope you’ll join the movement!
